Well it is relevant ! Relevant because it’s highly likely the planes that were located at Maypole will be requiring new ‘permanent’ homes. And given your interest in the next generation of electric planes, coupled with your unfamiliar 2 visits to the maypole site, I’m sure you would have noticed and taken great interest if any were there!!!! Andy- You seem to be familiar with the Maypole site. Would you be kind enough to let me know how many planes at this site are electric please?

Anything is possible Andy. But I think you are missing the main point. The land owner has submitted plans based on a ‘green‘ initiative. Electric planes are still in the very early stages of production. Yes, in years to come, they will probably be like the electric cars on the roads where they are more affordable. (Still never as affordable as a car that many can enjoy I might add!!!!) But the point you are missing is that is years off yet. The group on here, I’m sure, are not adverse to electric planes. They are all for ’green’ after all!!! But in the years it takes for the electric planes to be ‘common’, the residents, and those over the flight path will have to endure motorised planes coming and going up to 20 times a day. So like I said, if the landowner only accepts electric planes, I’m sure all would be fine! But that’s not going to happen as he would be running an airfield at a loss.

What a bargain! Don’t forget - it’s 185,000euro for a basic electric plane. Plus the extras :-45,000e for a fully operational cockpit and another 10,900 for a charger etc etc. Let me just reach for my pocket change to buy one, along with the remaining 31,000 other people in Deal and the surrounding area! Being that the landowners are so concerned about the environment as stated in their plans, I will look forward to reading that they will only accept electric planes to their site!
